Hanbury Community Project is a non residential community that aims to create a safe environment in which people can acquire new skills and discover their abilities and set goals while learning to relate to others at a deeper level. The Hanbury Community Project works alongside some of the most disadvantaged and marginalized individuals in London with the aim of helping them to become more fully integrated within their local community. Our students include those recovering from mental illness, major life trauma, substance misuse, homelessness and long term unemployment. Here students can do literacy and computer classes, a personal development course, cooking, Spanish, arts and crafts activities, and use the carpentry workshop. The Hanbury Community Project is available to all who are in accommodation, and it plays a vital role in providing services for the residents at Acorn House and the clients we have at the Shoreditch Community Project.
In the future the Hanbury Community Project will be operating from new premises with purpose built woodwork, art and learning space rooms. Please contact the manager for further details.
