This small yet intimate Project opened in 2001, to provide homeless and isolated members of the local community with a small, but friendly source of help. It is based in St Leonard's Church and offers a cutting edge service, providing advice, practical support and information to homeless people, drug users, alcoholics and people with a history of mental health problems. For many it is the first port of call and our dedicated team refer clients on to more specialist services where necessary.
We can not underestimate the importance of this service as it is a place of support for so many and somewhere simply for visitors to meet other people and make new friends. In an average three months, over 800 visits can be made to the Centre. We also organise day trips out of London or visits to museums. For many, this is the only time they have a holiday or get out of the city.
Below is an example of typical programme in any one week. However this changes frequently so please contact the Manager for current details on opening times on 0207 613 3232 or at katie.taylor@sct.org.uk
