Bridge House Bridge House, in Bow, opened in September 1996. It houses seven residents, each having a single room, and has a T.V. lounge, large kitchen/dining area and laundry facilities. There is a lovely garden and many of the residents enjoy getting involved in the weeding and planting! ![]() The house has a quiet and peaceful family atmosphere. Originally it was used particularly for older men (45+) looking for a long term home in supported accommodation, rather than a home of their own. However, as the average age of residents in our projects has dropped, the ultimate aim of a flat of their own has become more commonly desired. Today, the age range at Bridge House and Downham Lodge is very much the same. ![]() Pictured above are Dave and Jim, one current and one former resident of Bridge House. The house is completely self-catering, there is a House Meeting each week, and there are regular reviews of residents progress in place. Staff are around most days and happy to give any extra support as and when required.
